Graeme,
TGT will be happy to do the same as last year ... I think Kevin wants to give up race results collation, and I'm happy to take over from him, if that's the case.
I can bring a laptop, and I'm not afraid to use it!
Cheers,
Andy

Hi Graeme
Bishop's Stortford are happy to take part again organising the same leg as last year with Grange Farm, if they are OK with this. Had assumed it would be 5th September and have already got this in our club diary.
best wishes

Hi Graeme, Grange Farm are happy to team up with Bishops Stortford for the same leg this year.
I'll send out the reminders to each club to check route descriptions. Has anyone e-mailed to see who is in this year ?

Ilford are happy to organise the first leg - Epping to Ongar. We are also happy to take the entries as last year. Are we going to get together to discuss the race or more or less do the same as last year?

Harwich Runners are okay to look after the last leg, as we did last year. I have arranged for a club member to go to the chip shop and warn them that there could be a number of hungry runners around on the 5th.
Also last year we started the last leg the other side of the large roundabout, (in Ramsey), to avoid such a large number of runners crossing the A120 just after starting. I think in the interest of safety we will do the same this year, any comments/views on that? Thanks.

Can we confirm that Andy Clarke is collating the results during the day and also a way in which we can contact him on the day to pass on the results from our allotted legs?
Also Sally, are you receiving entries now?
I have changed my e-mail address since last year, so am not receiving e-mails re Essex Way if there have been any.
As Kevin and Helen are unable to be with us through the day due to other plans, I shall take over for this year on our leg.

I can confirm I am receiving entries including quite a few from Springfield. I'm just back from holiday so I will acknowledge them soon as I did last year. I will also send the email distribution list of organisers the list of entries and contact details as we did last year.
Sarah can you email me your new email address so I can add you to the list - sgillam@talk21.com.

Yes, I am collating results on the day ... I'm just waiting for confirmation of my transport on the day, and I will issue full instructions then

Leg 2 - Ongar to Good Easter.
Can all Leg 2 runners and team captains please take note.
The Essex Way crosses the A414 at High Ongar Bridge about a mile out of Ongar. The route takes runners across the A414 at a blind spot for oncoming traffic. As the A414 is a busy road, and traffic is likely to be fast-moving, there will be some marshalls there to warn runners of approaching traffic. If you are told to stop by a marshall, please do so. Stop means stop running, not just slow down and try to dart in front of a car. This is one of the most dangerous spots of the Essex Way, and therefore we ask your co-operation in keeping Leg 2 as safe as possible. Thanks. Paul Price, Thrift Green
