Discussion on the Essex Way Relay

I received the following from Pete West - Colchester Harriers...
Graeme, I was walking on the Essex Way yesterday and noticed something that I thought I should bring to your attention, because it potentially changes the instructions and start point of a leg.
Just after the start of Leg 9 in Bradfield as the path goes towards the railway bridge there are official notification signs of a proposed path change. The most significant change would be that the path will not access the field through the gap just round the corner from the church any more, and looks like it may mean running on the main road further. The other changes involve running round, not across fields, and the advantage of not having to run along the muddy waters edge. At this time they have not been implemented, but it will need to be looked at nearer the 5th September by whoever updates the instructions.
